KNOXVILLE — Remnants of Tropical Storm Lee continued to produce heavy rainfall overnight with totals across East Tennessee ranging from 6 to 9 inches, causing flooding of low-lying areas, downing trees and closing roadways and some schools.

Schools in McMinn and Monroe counties and Sweetwater are closed.
